About me

Hi, I’m Rachael.

I’m a self-taught artist and creative based in the UK, specialising in realistic pencil portraits and bespoke commissioned artwork.

I’ve always been drawn to creativity, storytelling and meaningful details. I’m not naturally the loudest or most polished person in the room, much more the quietly observant, slightly awkward creative type, but art has always been one of the ways I connect with people and the world around me.

A lot of my inspiration comes from emotion, family, animals and the little moments that often mean the most. I love artwork that feels personal and alive rather than overly perfect.

Outside of drawing, I love being outdoors especially walking near water, spending time in nature and finding calm in quiet places. Some of my happiest moments are the simple ones: music on, fresh air, coffee in hand and wandering somewhere peaceful.

I also love photography, editing, storytelling and creative projects that allow personality and emotion to shine through.

And when I’m not drawing or wandering outdoors somewhere, you’ll probably find me training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, spending time with my son or accidentally collecting yet another creative hobby.
